Primrose Schools is a national family of accredited early education and care schools serving children, parents and local communities with a purposeful, balanced approach to nurturing Active Minds, Healthy Bodies and Happy Hearts. We provide year-round full and part-time education in Georgia for infants and children starting at six weeks of age. Our secure environments and low teacher-to-child ratios allow us to get to know your child’s interests and abilities to help maximize their potential.

EAA699 Aviation Camp

The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin is a non-profit group of aviation enthusiasts who participate in the flying, building and restoring of recreational aircraft. EAA 690 is the local chapter located at Briscoe Field in Lawrenceville, GA. EAA 690 offers a wide range of aviation related educational activities and we take great pride in the programs our members offer to youth who are interested in aviation.

We offer three STEM Aviation Summer Camps in the month of June. The camps take place Monday through Friday, June 10-14, from 9am to 4pm, and most classes are taught by pilots and/or those with other aviation experience.

  • Alpha Camp is for kids aged 12/13
  • Bravo Camp is for kids 14/15
  • Charlie Camp is for kids 16-18

We also have several year-round events.

  • Our monthly Young Eagles program, on the third Saturday of each month, which allows children aged 8-17 to take a FREE flight in a small aircraft. Our pilot members volunteer their time, planes and fuel to fly 1 to 3 kids from Briscoe Field to either Stone Mountain or Lake Lanier and back.
  • Our Youth Build program for kids 14+ takes place every Saturday except for the first Saturday of the month and gives participants hands on experience of how to build an aircraft. Youth Build participants can earn flight credits in exchange for their work.
  • We also offer monthly pancake breakfasts the first Saturday of each month and breakfast is often followed by an aviation related presentation by a guest speaker.

EAA 690 is open to anyone in the community with an interest in aviation with or without previous experience.
